Habotai literally means "Feather two-layer" and is a simple, beautiful plain-weave silk. 5mm is the lightest and quite sheer; and 16mm is the heaviest and opaque. Habotai is often used as a liner and in silk Kimonos. It is also a great choice for silk painting.
